Local Event Information Gather friends and family and join Easter Seals UCP North Carolina at our fifth annual Walk With Me in Greensboro! Lace up your sneakers and join us for a day of fun and fitness in support of a great cause putting hope within reach for people with disabilities. Teams of family, friends, neighbors and supporters will walk, run, stroll or roll around the lake at Country Park. The day begins with registration and 9:00 a.m., and our 3 K walk starts at 10 a.m. Before the walk, you'll have a chance to meet our 2010 Honorary Ambassadors children and adults with disabilities who have directly benefited from Easter Seals UCP programs and services. Directions to Country Park (pdf) After the walk, the celebration continues with festivities including children's activities and a cookout. Whether you walk as an individual or a team, you will be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador -- an Easter Seals client from your community. Your support helps make it possible for Easter Seals to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to live with equality, dignity and independence.

Walk to increase disability awareness
Easter Seals Walk With Me provides the opportunity to meet people with a disability, and learn about each person's abilities -- not just their disabilities -- and the obstacles that might get in the way of their independence. Expanding your knowledge is a step toward helping others reach their goals.
