Local Event Information Please join us for Walk With Me Broward on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Markham Park in Sunrise. By participating in our 5K walk, you will help Easter Seals South Florida in providing life-changing services to the 3,000 children and adults we serve with disabilities and other special needs in our community. Latest News: Attend the Broward Walk Kick-Off Breakfast on 2/5/2010 Click here to RSVP for this free, fun event The 5K walk begins with registration at 9:00am followed by the walk starting at 10:00am. All participants will have an opportunity to meet the Honorary Ambassadors and learn about the impact YOU can make in their lives-- just by taking a walk on a spring morning! Money raised through Easter Seals Walk With Me will support a variety of local services in South Florida including: Children's Therapy Services; programs for children with autism spectrum disorder; Child Development Center; Culinary Arts High School program; Adult Day Care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and memory loss; and in-home respite care. We will also be happy to provide the required documentation for students working to fulfill a community service requirement.

Whether you walk as an individual or a team, you will be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador -- an Easter Seals client from your community. Your support helps make it possible for Easter Seals to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to live with equality, dignity and independence.

Walk to increase disability awareness
Easter Seals Walk With Me provides the opportunity to meet people with a disability, and learn about each person's abilities -- not just their disabilities -- and the obstacles that might get in the way of their independence. Expanding your knowledge is a step toward helping others reach their goals.

Walk to change the lives of children and adults with disabilities
