About Walk With Me Southwest Missouri 2014
In 2004, Life Skills created the Walk Run 'n Roll for our community to come together to celebrate people with developmental disabilities - including autism – and to raise much needed funds to support our life-changing services to the community. We hope you will consider participating this spring.
Now, as part of the national Easter Seals network, we are pleased to announce we have changed the name of our event to Easter Seals Walk With Me. We will hold two Walk With Me events – in St. Louis and Springfield -- to celebrate our services throughout the state of Missouri. Easter Seals Midwest, formerly Life Skills | TouchPoint Autism Services, remains dedicated to our mission to help individuals with developmental disabilities - including autism - learn, live, work and participate in the community.
How often do you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of local families? You can help people with disabilities, from the very small, to teens to fully-grown adults, through your participation in Walk With Me.
With one in 72 children in Missouri now diagnosed with autism, quality services for children and adults with developmental disabilities are needed more than ever before. All donations to Walk With Me will remain in Missouri helping local families and individuals with disabilities.
Take a step in making a difference in your community. I hope you will Walk With Me to help people with disabilities live, learn, work and play. Our individual reasons to walk are unique. We may walk for a loved one, for a child we know, or even for a neighbor or a colleague with a disability. We walk for these individuals, their futures and the families who love them.
