Local Event Information Come walk with us in support of children with disabilities and their families! Join our second annual Walk With Me in Phoenix on Saturday, May 1, 2010.  We will be holding this 1.25 mile family-friendly fun walk at Steele Indian School Park, raising funds for Easter Seals Southwest Human Development. Meet our Ambassador families, and after walking, please stay and enjoy games, music, food, entertainment and fun!  Friends, family, co-workers, teams and individual walkers all are welcome. Registration and check-in will open at 7am; our program will start at 8am, and the Walk will begin at 8:20am. Steele Indian School Park is conveniently located at the corner of Central Avenue and Indian School Road with plenty of free parking. Whether you walk as an individual or a team, you will be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador -- an Easter Seals client from your community. Your support helps make it possible for Easter Seals to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to live with equality, dignity and independence.

Walk to increase disability awareness
Easter Seals Walk With Me provides the opportunity to meet people with a disability, and learn about each person's abilities -- not just their disabilities -- and the obstacles that might get in the way of their independence. Expanding your knowledge is a step toward helping others reach their goals.

Walk to change the lives of children and adults with disabilities
